Adam ShawClassroom Teacher

MS, Rivier University
BS, Saint Anslem College

Adam Shaw received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Saint Anselm College and his Masters degree in Math Education from Rivier University. Hailing from Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, Adam has been a math teacher, music minister, and videographer. For most of his life, Adam has been involved at his parish, Immaculate Conception in Nashua, NH as a leader in the Life Teen program and as a musician in the Life Teen Music Ministry. He has also played at different parishes for retreats and workshops.

Teaching is a big part of Adam’s life. He believes that all students can learn, and learn effectively with the proper guidance of a skilled and experienced teacher, much like Jesus who taught his disciples. One can also deepen the understanding of a subject better through teaching, and he encourages students to do the same. Jesus’ disciples were sent to go forth and spread the Gospel to educate others about the love of Jesus Christ, so Adam wishes to model this behavior in this manner. He sees teaching as a mission from God.

Besides teaching for the Academy, Adam currently teaches middle school mathematics in Hudson, NH. He and his wife Lydia have three beautiful children.
