Dr. James Brown is a scholar in U.S. literature and history with advanced degrees from Penn State University and the University of Minnesota, where he researched the problem of individualism versus social responsibility in American political life.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Brown double majored in Religious Studies and English, with a focus on religious values and expression in American literature. He has taught college courses in English composition, popular culture and politics, and American political thought for departments of English, History, and American Studies.

Currently, Dr. Brown lives in rural Wisconsin where he runs an academic editing service and works with dissertation writers around the world. His calling is to empower students to express their opinions, values, and faith through a solid grasp of history and the ability to write impactful persuasive essays.

Dr. Brown is very excited to teach for the Academy this fall.
