Jennifer McCandless earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree in English Language and Literature from National University. She has more than ten years of experience teaching English courses at a variety of grade levels. Jennifer has also taught writing classes at Rasmussen College, through online programs, within her local homeschool coop, and as a homeschooling mother. She enjoys teaching in a diverse setting while getting to know students from various backgrounds.

Jennifer is passionate about training children in the art of communication, which helps equip them to be lights for Christ in this world. She enjoys teaching through a biblical world view and using literature to help students see the significance of our choices and mindsets, and the consequences that can ensue.

Jennifer currently lives on a small farmette in Northern Illinois with her husband of 18 years and her four children, who always keep her laughing. She finds joy in learning new things on a regular basis while also spending copious amounts of time outdoors.
