Kelly Freestone

Kelly FreestoneClassroom Teacher

Kelly Freestone is the oldest of three children and a homeschool graduate. She has taught and tutored Latin 1, 2, and 3. Kelly grew up moving around the world and has lived in four countries on three continents. Most recently she spent three years living in England, where she spent a summer and a semester studying Latin, C.S. Lewis, and Jane Austen at the University of Oxford where she was awarded the 2015 De Jager prize.

As a Classics minor and almost-graduate of Patrick Henry College, Kelly has taken every Latin and Greek class she’s encountered and has experience teaching high school Latin both online and in person. She loves learning and teaching ancient languages, and hopes to inspire the same love for Virgil and ablative absolutes in her students.

Kelly is very excited to be teaching for the Academy this fall.
