Lana Lunsford possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Transylvania University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Secondary Social Studies. She first served the Lord as a teacher at a private Christian school in Virginia where she spent four years teaching English, including World Literature, AP Language and Composition, Writing, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Yearbook.

Recently, Lana and her husband made the tough decision to leave Virginia for Ohio. As a new mom, Lana has spent the past few months enjoying motherhood, but has missed the classroom and helping students learn. She is looking forward to fascinating literature discussions, teaching and reading research papers, and connecting with students at HSLDA.

Lana's hobbies include reading, mainly nonfiction World War II books, listening to podcasts that teach her anything new, and watching football with her husband. She also enjoys walking and playing with her pitbull, Cruizer, teaching her infant daughter new words and skills, and spending free time with her husband when the babysitter is available.
