Sharon Fisher earned a BA degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Discrete Mathematics, a MS degree in Elementary Mathematics & Science, and a MS degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Hood College in Frederick, MD.  Sharon has an active teaching certificate in the states of Maryland and West Virginia.

As an educator for over two decades, Sharon has experience teaching in the local public schools, homeschool co-ops, and online courses, as well as teaching her own children. Her family has loved using online learning throughout their educational journey. She currently teaches Math 100 for her local community college, teaches English to children in China, and tutors local students in math. Sharon is passionate to help all students find their God-given talents while walking through their educational journey. She has a passion to see students succeed in all their classes and have fun at the same time! 

Sharon resides in Martinsburg, West Virginia with her husband, Phil, and their four children. Sharon and her family volunteer at their church in the children’s ministry and teen ministry on a weekly basis. The Fisher family loves investing in the children in the church to help raise them up to be Christian leaders of the future. 

Sharon has been teaching with the Academy since 2020.
