Angie Kiker
Angela Kiker earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English from Belmont Abbey College and her master’s degree in Education from Southern Wesleyan University. After graduation she taught 9th through 12th grade English in South Carolina public schools. Her teaching experience includes a wide variety of subject areas, including British, American, and world literature. Angie paused her teaching career to raise her family and homeschool her four children and is excited to be back in the classroom with HSLDA. She wants her students to truly enjoy literature and writing, which fuels her motivation to strengthen their reading and writing skills. Personally, Angela likes American literature and southern writers the most, especially Flannery O’Connor and Pat Conroy. In her spare time, Angie enjoys watching movies, playing games with her children, relaxing at the lake, and exercising.
