About HSLDA Online Academy
We offer over 40 live, online classes for grades 7-12. Our biblically-based courses promote teacher-guided, parent-supported, student-led learning.
Who We Are
HSLDA and Patrick Henry College launched the Academy in 2009 as a service to homeschool and private school families looking for ways to supplement their students’ high school education.
Today, the Academy operates as a division of HSLDA dedicated to providing quality Christian online courses to students everywhere.
Our main office is located in Northern Virginia, and our exceptional teachers work remotely across the United States.
Your student will get to join our virtual campus and meet fellow Christian high schoolers from all 50 US states and from several countries around the world!
What’s Different about HSLDA Online Academy?
Teachers: Our teachers are carefully selected, actively coached, and evaluated twice per year by HSLDA staff.
Academics: Our curriculum is uniquely developed in-house and maintained by an experienced team.
Hybrid Model: To limit screen time, students read from physical textbooks and do scratch work on paper while assignments and grades are recorded online.

FAQs
How easy is it to learn to navigate an online course?
Before your course begins, you’ll be able to go through a Student Orientation Tutorial Course to learn how the online system works. The course is split into units, and each unit takes you through simple instructions for particular online tools and features—for example, “How to take a quiz online” or “How to submit an assignment.”
How do I log into my course?
After you register, you’ll receive an email containing login instructions.

Your online courses will become available only when the semester starts. A Student Orientation course will be available a little before the start of the semester.
Do you provide accommodations for students with learning challenges or disabilities?
The format of our courses allows for a lot of flexibility for students who have learning challenges or disabilities. For slow readers, timed tests can be set for longer test-taking times. Parents can read the text to the student. Online components can be viewed multiple times, as needed.
For AP® courses, the College Board offers testing accommodations for the exams and our teachers can take these accommodations into consideration while prepping your student.
