Deneen Dale
Deneen Dale earned her BSEd in Biology and Chemistry Education and her MSEd in Science Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She went on to earn an additional 12 graduate hours in research from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine.
Deneen has taught science in some capacity since 1995, including in public school, college, and the homeschool community. Additionally, she has the privilege of presenting Hands-On Dissection Workshops at the Illinois Christian Home Educators (ICHE) annual conference. She also serves on her local homeschool cooperative’s Board of Directors.
Teaching is not just a job for Deneen; she sees it as a calling to serve the Lord. She encourages her students to never give up, strive to their highest potential, and ask the Lord for His help along that journey. Deneen is passionate about making a difference in her students’ lives and doing so is one of the reasons she loves teaching.
Deneen has been married to her husband Kevin since 1992 and they have four fabulous adult kids, whom they homeschooled. It is now their privilege to be grandparents as their children continue the heritage of homeschooling. Deneen lives on a small acreage in northern Illinois and enjoys gardening, travel, hiking, and reading Christian fiction.
Deneen has been teaching with the Academy since 2020.
