Dr. Kerri Adkins

Master Teacher

Kerri Adkins earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry with a minor in biophysics. Shortly afterward, she began her first teaching job at a local high school where she instructed students in chemistry and physical science. During this time, she earned her master’s degree in education. Kerri recently graduated with a doctorate in educational leadership through Western Kentucky University. She hopes to inspire young people by teaching them to have an appreciation for God’s creation.

Kerri has taught various high school science classes in private and public schools over the past 11 years, including AP® and a dual credit-biology class through Campbellsville University. Kerri lives in Somerset, KY with her husband of 23 years and their three sons. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and volunteering.

Kerri has been teaching for the Academy since 2018.
