This year is a big anniversary in the history of our nation: 250 years! In comparison, HSLDA Online Academy’s 16 years seem relatively small. But both share something important: a commitment to freedom.
When you sign up for HSLDA Online Academy courses, your tuition dollars help support HSLDA’s efforts to keep homeschooling free in all 50 states. Our team of attorneys and legal assistants monitor state legislatures to make sure bills that threaten homeschool freedom are caught before they’re passed. We couldn’t do that without your support as Academy families.
But our goal isn’t just freedom from regulation—it’s also the freedom to continue homeschooling through high school. HSLDA Online Academy gives you the tools you need to do just that. Our high school courses cover subjects that are often the hardest to teach at home. Everything is developed in-house with a Biblical worldview (even AP® courses).
And the results speak for themselves: when homeschooling remains free, we get amazing students! If you were at the 2026 Academy Showcase, you know what I mean (and if not, check out the Highlights Reel). We saw the time and effort that students are pouring into their courses and extracurriculars, and the chat feed was overflowing with encouragement from classmates. Watching the Showcase was the highlight of my week. Our students are truly incredible in heart, mind, and soul.
As a homeschool graduate myself, this is why I believe homeschool freedom is worth the effort: because it fosters godly young adults like the students at HSLDA Online Academy.
