Courtney Johnson
Classroom TeacherMEd., University of Texas at Tyler Courtney Johnson earned a B.A. in English and a MEd. in Curriculum and Instruction with an English emphasis. She also holds a Texas teaching certificate in all subject areas (grades Pre-K-8th) and English/Language Arts (grades Pre-K through 12th). Courtney has over twenty years of teaching experience in a variety of disciplines and in both public and private school settings, as well as homeschooling her two sons. Courtney has taught English at the middle school, high school, and college level. She also teaches ballet on the side. Courtney knew at a very young age that she wanted to be an English teacher. It is her passion to share her love of literature and language with her students and she finds great joy in helping them improve their writing. She strives to help her students become discerning readers who are constantly aware of the author’s worldview. Courtney lives in Texas with her husband and sons. She enjoys reading, going to the lake with family, and paddle-boarding. She recently learned to scuba dive and looks forward to exploring God’s underwater creation. |
