Deneen Dale
Classroom TeacherMS, University of Nebraska Deneen Dale earned her BSEd in Biology and Chemistry Education and her MSEd in Science Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She went on to earn an additional 12 graduate hours in research from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine. Deneen has been a science teacher in some capacity since 1995, teaching both in the public high school setting, college setting, and for the last 16 years to the homeschool community. She has taught high school Biology, Introduction to Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Additionally, she had the privilege of recently presenting Hands-On Dissection Workshops at the Illinois Christian Home Educators (ICHE) annual conference at Olivette Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. She has served on her local homeschool cooperative’s Board of Directors, currently as their co-chairman, since 2007. Teaching is not just a job for Deneen; she sees it as a calling to serve the Lord as she teaches her students. As a Christian teacher, she wants to encourage students to never give up, strive to their highest potential, and ask the Lord for His help along that journey. Making a real difference in the life of her students is her passion and one of the reasons she loves teaching. Deneen has been married to her husband Kevin for 27 years and they have four fabulous kids, whom they have homeschooled. They live on a small acreage in northern Illinois. She enjoys gardening, hiking, and reading Christian fiction. |
