Faith Cruz, High School Classroom Teacher for GermanMaster Teacher

MA, Duke University
BA, Furman University

Faith Engroos Cruz is a former adjunct professor at Duke University who has a passion for language and learning. After graduating from Furman University, she was awarded a coveted Fulbright Teacher’s Fellowship, which afforded her the opportunity to spend a year living and teaching in Austria. At the end of the year, she returned to the U.S., where she completed a master’s degree in German. Along with a love of German music and culture, she has a nerdy love for grammar.

Faith homeschools her own four children and is actively involved in her local church, where she teaches Awana and works in a nursing home ministry.

When not working with students to develop their love of language, she loves to read, swim, and spend time with friends.

Faith has taught for over two decades, including ten years of teaching German and four years of teaching in an online setting. She has been teaching with the Academy since 2017.
