Imelda Sierra-Velazquez
Classroom TeacherMA, Louisiana Baptist University Imelda Sierra-Velazquez has over fifteen years of experience in teaching in multiple settings. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico. She also earned a master’s degree in counseling from Louisiana Baptist University. Mrs. Velazquez is currently a candidate for the master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from Bob Jones University. Her greatest joy was to be able to educate her own children, who have successfully graduated from homeschooling and continue to pursue higher education. Mrs. Velazquez currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and three young adult children. She loves living in the country and often you’ll find her playing with the family dog: a lovable and very active Vizlsa. During the homeschooling years, Mrs. Velazquez enjoyed traveling the United States with her husband and children. Together with her husband, she made it a priority to find historical sites and other memorable stops during the trip to give the children an opportunity to experience history. Mrs. Velazquez always encourages parents to seek the “teachable moment” and enjoy the freedom that homeschooling provides. |
