Kerri Adkins earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry with a minor in Biophysics. Shortly afterward, she began her first teaching job at a local high school where she instructed students in chemistry and physical science. During this time, she earned her Master's degree in Education. Kerri recently continued her education - graduating with a doctorate in Educational Leadership through Western Kentucky University. She hopes to continue to inspire young people by teaching them to have an appreciation for God's creation.

Kerri has taught various high school science classes in private and public school over the past eleven years, including AP and a dual credit-Biology class through Campbellsville University.  Kerri lives in Somerset, KY. with her husband of 19 years and their three sons. In her free time, she finds enjoyment in running, reading, and volunteering.

Kerri has been teaching for the Academy since 2018.
