Tamara Grubbs earned her undergraduate degree in English with a focus on creative writing from the University of Central Florida, where she published her first collection of short stories as part of her undergraduate thesis.

Since then Tamara has applied her passion for writing in various fields. She has worked as a technical writer for engineering, software development, and training firms, a copy writer and editor for a national media corporation, a thesis editor for graduate students, and an article writer for an online educational resource provider. Tamara also continues to write and publish short fiction, and is currently completing her first novel, a YA mystery with a magical realism twist.

In 2012, Tamara discovered her love for teaching when she started homeschooling her children. Since then she has taught all levels, elementary through adult, but her favorite is high school! They are at the perfect age to think critically about literature, writing, and the Christian worldview. One of her greatest joys is to walk alongside these students, helping them grown in both confidence and ability.
