HSLDA Online Academy: What’s a typical Saturday night like for you?
Cally Henrichs: A typical Saturday night usually includes grading papers and, if there’s extra time, enjoying a movie or listening to some vinyl records.
HSLDA Online Academy: What are your must-have smartphone apps?
Cally Henrichs: I’ve got to have Instagram for sure! I also love the podcast app (podcasts are a solid part of my daily routine) and Spotify.
HSLDA Online Academy: What can you cook to perfection? Are you willing to share the recipe?
Cally Henrichs: White chocolate chip blueberry cookies! They are my personal famous recipe and one that is frequently requested by friends for parties or birthdays. But it’s a recipe I keep under lock and key!
HSLDA Online Academy: If you won the lottery and decided to give up teaching, what would you do instead?
Cally Henrichs: It would be so hard to give up teaching! I would continue my ministry through writing books and Bible studies, but I’d also become a tour guide. That’s always been a dream. I’d love to work at a Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum!
HSLDA Online Academy: If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?
Cally Henrichs: You hold a one-of-a-kind story in the bigger story that is God’s story. You matter to this world for the unique person you are!
