Travis Elliott
Classroom TeacherPhD, University of Virginia (ABD) Travis Elliott is an experienced university educator who has taught courses in Business, Strategy, National Security, Technology Policy, Science & Engineering Ethics, and Science, Technology and Society at the University of Virginia and other universities. He has extensive tutoring experience serving UVA Athletics and the UVA Office of African-American Affairs as well as private tutoring from first graders through PhD students and adult learners in content-specific subjects and standardized test preparation. Prior to academia, Travis worked at several Fortune 500 companies, an education startup company, and a national laboratory. He has administrative experience in higher education and state-level K-12. His PhD work at the University of Virginia was in business and ethics and included a Presidential Fellowship in Data Science. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Dartmouth College and Master of Science in Higher Education from Purdue University Global. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering with a minor in Spanish from Georgia Tech. Travis is a first-generation college graduate who loves helping young people from all walks of life. He also is a lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast who especially loves baseball. He has been a happy homeschooling parent to his children. |
