Many families want their students to have a variety of learning options while still schooling at home. Online education—especially when you have perks such as AP® courses—is a great choice!

What is the most important thing to look for when choosing an online course?

Answer: Live, interactive instruction

Students learn best online when they can interact with their instructor and actively engage with the material. That’s why HSLDA Online Academy makes live, interactive instruction a cornerstone of our program—and employs teachers who are ready and eager to help students learn!

Do all online high school courses have to be accredited?

Answer: No

HSLDA Online Academy has chosen not to pursue accreditation simply because we don't need to. Accreditation is unnecessary for courses used in a homeschool curriculum. In fact, not all public high schools are accredited. As a homeschooling parent, you have the freedom to choose the courses that you think are best for your students.

How many courses does the average student take at HSLDA Online Academy?

Answer: 1

You don't have to be full-time online. Our courses work well in combination with courses at home, at co-ops, and more. Flexibility is one of best parts of homeschooling, and our courses help make that possible.
